John Savournin (2000-2001)

John Savournin, Baritone, studied acting at LAMDA, before winning a scholarship to study singing at Trinity College of Music. He graduated with a BMus (First Class) and was awarded the Founder's Prize for Excellence and the Paul Simms Opera Prize. He currently studies with Russel Smythe. Whist at Trinity, John performed the roles of Doctor Hasselbacher, Our Man in Havana; Captain Macheath, The Beggar's Opera and the Narrator/Mysterious Man, Into the Woods. Since then he has performed Papageno, Magic Flute, and Shaunard, La Bohéme, for British Youth Opera/South Bank Sinfonia, Figaro, The Barber of Seville, the title role, Don Giovanni; Guglielmo, Cosi fan tutte; Colline, La Bohéme for Raymond Gubbay, Katisha/ Pish-Tush, The Mikado; Pirate King, The Pirates of Penzance; Captain Corcoran, H.M.S. Pinafore, for Charles Court Opera. Roles at the International G&S Festival include Grosvenor, Patience; Giuseppe, The Gondoliers; The Pirate King, The Pirates of Penzance and Sir Richard, The Yeoman of the Guard, Figaro, Barber of Seville for Minotaur Music Theatre and Guglielmo, Cosi fan tutte for Opera UK Company.

Oratorio and concert work includes Britten's War Requiem under Jan Latham Koenig; Serenade to Music at the Queen Elizabeth Hall; St. Matthew Passion with the English Chamber Orchestra; Kagel's 24. Xii. 1931, with The Warehouse Ensemble under Edwin Roxborough; James Young's A Collection of English Nonsense (World Premiere); The Sentinel, Cry of Innocence (Created for Gyenyame for Performing Arts) and George, Midsummer, (created for B.A.C. Opera 2005), and Messiah by Candlelight for Raymond Gubbay at The Bridgewater Hall, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. John has recorded the role of Yeti - an abominamusical by Grant Olding, which is soon to be launched on Broadway and A Collection of English Fairytales for Italian cartoons and commercials. He has also appeared on In Tune (Radio Three) and recorded two CDs with the highly acclaimed Eaton-Young Piano Duo.

He has recently covered the role of Sciarrone, Tosca for Raymond Gubbay, and is currently performing the roles of Hermann and Schlemil, Tales of Hoffmann for Mid Wales Opera. John is General Director of Charles Court Opera, one of London's leading small-scale opera companies, for whom he has directed 14 operas and musicals to date since the companies' inception in 2005.

Having spent a year teaching music in schools in various African countries, Caitlin went to read Music at Newcastle University with singing as part of her studies.

Adam Hepkin (2000-2002)

Adam trained at the Bristol Academy of Performing Arts (BAPA) studying professional musical theatre under Andrew Hambly-Smith. Whilst at college, he directed and played Brian in Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens and won much critical acclaim for his "superbly smarmy, groin-orientated and creepy" portrayal of Darryl Van Horne in The Witches of Eastwick. Adam is a regular personality at the International G & S Festival, where in 2004 he became the youngest ever recipient of the International Award, 'Best Male Gilbert and Sullivan Performer' for his portrayal of John Wellington Wells in The Sorcerer.

Most recently, Adam played the role of Issachar in Bill Kenwright's No.1 UK Tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as well as understudying and playing the pivotal role of the Narrator and acting as dance captain for the production. He has also appeared in small-scale tours with Blag Theatre Company and their parody show, Entertainment My Arts! as well as Bristol based musical comedy group On That Note. Television credits include Four Fathers (ITV), Wild Horses (Channel 4) and an animation with Paul McGann entitled The Immortal Henri Blutoe.

Chris Cook (2006)

Chris attained a 1st Class BA (Hons) in Music Theatre, took major roles in many musical theatre productions for Leeds University, and went on to The Royal Academy of Music for his diploma in Music Theatre. While at The Royal Academy he sang for Her Majesty The Queen.

David Partridge (2001-2002))

David attained a 1st Class BA (Hons) in Theatre Acting, followed by a one-year postgraduate course in Music Theatre at The Royal Academy of Music. He has appeared in adverts, the theatre, pantomime, and played the part of Andre on many occasions in Phantom of the Opera. His stage name is David Covey.

Felicity Hayward (2002-2003)

Felicity went on to Trinity College of Music, graduating with 1st Class Honours in 2006 winning the Vocal Faculty Silver Medal. She works with some small ensembles formed from Trinity and has undertaken some professional concerts in music theatre.

Lisa Williams (2004)

Lisa has appeared in pantomime and, as one of the leading vocalists, with the touring company British Stage Productions in its Old Time Music Hall as well as other musical productions. She has also appeared with Chris Clarkson (also a competitor in the David Clover Competition for Singers) as the female lead in a children's musical fantasy at the Newcastle Metro Centre.

Mark Biggins (2003)

Ann Wilkes (2003-2007)

Ann continues to enter, and win, musical competition all over the north of England. She appears as soloist and guest artist at dinners and concerts.

Daniel attained a 1st Class BA (Hons) in Theatre Acting, followed by a one-year postgraduate course in Music Theatre at The Royal Academy of Music. Since graduating he has worked on cruise ships delighting audiences with his singing.
