Festival Rules
Eligibility to the Festival and to the appropriate classes will be determined by the competitor's age on 1 March 2010.
Entrants are reminded that it is advisable to keep the whole Festival weekend free.
The number of entries is limited by time restriction. Classes will be filled in order of application of entry.
All adjudicators are appointed by The City of Sheffield Teachers' Choir.
All awards are made at the discretion of the adjudicator whose decisions are final. It is expected that the prize money will be used to further the musical development of the prize winner.
Trophies will be held for one year.
An official accompanist will be available throughout the Festival. Should you require the services of the official accompanist, original copies (NOT PHOTOCOPIES) MUST be sent to the official accompanist by Saturday 13 February 2010.
Original copies (NOT PHOTOCOPIES) of each of the songs to be performed need to be made available, on the day of the Festival, for the adjudicator.
The application form, fee and a stamped, self-addressed envelope MUST be submitted by the stipulated date, 5 December 2009 otherwise entry will NOT be accepted. Please see the Festival Calendar.
A competitor must NOT sing the same piece in more than one Class.
A Child/Vulnerable-Adult policy is available and a copy of this document will be sent to all applicants.
