Eligibility to the Competition and to the appropriate classes will be determined by the competitor's age on 1 March 2009.

A 2008 class winner in any class is NOT eligible to enter the same class in 2009.

All adjudicators are appointed by the City of Sheffield Teachers' Choir.

An official accompanist will be available at each stage of the Competition. Should you require the services of the official accompanist, original copies (NOT PHOTOCOPIES) MUST be sent to the official accompanist by the date specified in the Competition Calendar. Original copies (NOT PHOTOCOPIES) of each of the songs to be performed need to be made available, on the day of the Competition, for the adjudicator.

The application form MUST be submitted by the stipulated date, 6 December 2008 otherwise entry will NOT be accepted. Please see the Competition Calendar. Please note the early entry date for the receipt of application forms.

Depending on the number of applicants, in each Class, it MAY be necessary to hold Selection Rounds for over-subscribed Classes, on a date prior to those Classes being held on Competition Days 1, 2 and 3. Please see the Competition Calendar.

All awards are made at the discretion of the adjudicator whose decisions are final. It is expected that the prize money will be used to further the musical development of the prize winner.

Trophies will be held for one year.

A competitor must NOT sing the same piece in more than one Class.

A Child/Vulnerable-Adult policy is available and a copy of this document will be sent to all applicants.
